Host Application Routing

A routing daemon created using the Flock Internet Routing Engine (FIRE) is so lightweight it can easily be run by every server in your network. This means each server has full real time network knowledge.

  • Application based networking: Each IP / MPLS path through your network is visible to your server. Your server can map each application to use different paths, depending on the paths current characteristics.

  • Instant failure detection: As your host is fully participating in the IP / MPLS routing protocols it will detect network failures at the same time as your core networking equipment. Application traffic can be switched to a backup path instantly.

  • Backup paths: Your host can request backup paths are pre-programmed in the core network and can switch to use them instantly on primary path failure.
